THE PRE-LAUNCH DINNER FOR ‘2ND UK-BANGLADESH E-COMMERCE FAIR 2015’ HAS BEENHELD IN LONDON’S THE CRYSTAL.
The two-day fair will begin at The Waterlily Venues on Friday.

‘Digital Bangladesh: A World of Opportunities’ is the theme of this year’s event that aims to bring together the “entire e-commerce services and stakeholders” from both countries under one platform.

Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed and State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak attended the inaugural dinner Thursday evening local time.

Conservative MPs John Alan Redwood and Paul Scully also addressed the event.

Founder and organiser of the event Abdul Wahed Tomal, the CEO of Computer Jagat, and NRB Bank Chairman Iqbal Ahmed OBE, also Chairman and Chief Executive of Seamark Group, among others, were present.

It is Bangladesh’s largest display of services and technology in London under one roof.

NRB Bank and Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) are the sposors of the fair.

The fair is co-organised by the Information and Communication Technology Division (ICTD), Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority (BHTPA) and the Computer Jagat, a news-monthly on ICT and e-commerce industry.

The organisers are expecting about 5,000 industry professionals and members of public to visit the fair, with more than 50 companies representing players from every part of the e-commerce ecosystem.
